ArtFriends is an all-ages visual arts curriculum I created in 2015. The program introduces students to artists, past and present, as real people who worked in our world. Each lesson focuses on a single artist, stressing biography and art style. Students will examine and discuss the artist’s work, and then emulate with their own creations.
Along with a single artist, students are taught an associated art history keyword. In this way students are empowered to engage in art viewing and production at a higher and more intimate level.
